Internship Information

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 27:17

Molded: Developing Dream Disciples is a 10-week immersive internship designed to form college students into Christ-centered disciple-makers through spiritual formation, mentoring, hands-on ministry, and intentional calling discernment within the Piedmont Baptist Association and its partner churches.

Students will:
Deepen their personal walk with Christ
Clarify and refine their call to ministry
Learn to make disciples in real-life contexts
Experience healthy churches and revitalization efforts
Develop leadership through guided mentoring

Two foundational distinctives

Dedicated Ministry Mentor

Each intern will be paired with a pastor or ministry staff member from an associational church who will serve as a primary mentor for the entire 10 weeks.

Mentor Responsibilities:
  • Weekly one-on-one meeting (60–90 minutes)
  • Spiritual accountability and encouragement
  • Ministry exposure (meetings, visits, prep, counseling observation)
  • Honest conversation about pastoral life and challenges
  • Feedback on gifts, character, and calling
  • Prayer for the intern

1 Thessalonians 2:8 — “We were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”

This mirrors Jesus’ model of life-on-life formation (Mark 3:14).

Weekly Prayer and Fasting

Each week interns will participate in a dedicated day of spiritual formation through fasting and focused prayer.

Suggested Rhythm:
Fast from food sunrise to dinner (or as physically appropriate)
Abstain from media and unnecessary distractions
Guided Scripture meditation
Intercession for churches, pastors, and the lost
Personal reflection on calling
Weekly Corporate Prayer Gathering

Acts 13:2–3 — Leaders were sent out while worshiping and fasting.
Matthew 6:16–18 — Jesus assumes His followers will fast.

This day anchors the entire internship in dependence on God rather than activity.
